In the first DVD Dr. Tanaka combines his considerable experience as an anatomist, teacher and clinician in discussing the relationships of occlusion and the Temporomandibular Joint. This is in interview format where Dr. Tanaka addresses a variety of topics such as: philosophy of occlusion, occlusal appliance therapy, role of muscles and joint/disc anatomy, anterior guidance, signs and consequences of parafunctional activity and the do’s and don’ts of occlusal equilibration. The second DVD shows an advanced dissection of a Temporomandibular Joint. Dr. Tanaka has dissected over 1000 TMJ’s and his skill and understanding of the joint’s anatomy and related structures is clearly demonstrated to the viewer.
